Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) maybe symptomatic or asymptomatic. The common symptoms appear similar to the signs of skin allergies or rashes. Syphilis is caused by Trepona pallidum. In its pictures, you will see round sores that are arranged in groups. These are also called chancre. Chancre can be found around vagina, on the penis, and at the rectum. The sores caused by syphilis are persistent. It will disappear for a short period of time, but this does not mean that the causative agent has totally vanished. And when it becomes severe, it eats up your flesh. In fact, it can move to another part of your body, like your hands and feet.

Another type of sexually transmitted disease is genital warts which are also known as Condylomata acuminata. There are different kinds of warts. There are times that it may show as flat, raised, in solo or groups, and sometimes it is very small or very large in size. A cauliflower appearance was also observed. It can be pink or flesh in color.  Not all genital warts are visible to the naked eye; you will need acetic acid for them to show up. They can be seen on the vulva, vagina, anus, cervix, penis, groin, scrotum and thighs. Genital warts have no permanent cure, but can be removed. In addition, when these warts are removed, they often reappear. It can be acquired either through coitus or by direct contact to the skin of an infected individual.

Herpes is another sexually transmitted disease whose symptoms are sores or blisters. These are commonly mistaken for an insect bite or a skin allergy. It shows up after 2 to 4 weeks from the initial contact. The causative agent of this disease is Herpes Simplex Virus, which inflicts pain. The sores, when healed, are still capable of infecting others. When you get infected for the second time, it comes with flu-like symptoms and swollen lymph glands, which gives the person more pain.

Through sexual contact, you can also get crab lice from infected persons. It often affects genital regions. They can be found underneath the skin and pubic hair. Crab lice are suspected when a person feels severe itching and skin irritation. You will notice in the genital area erythema and intense skin inflammation. They are quite difficult to find in pubic hair, so you need a closer look to eradicate these crab lice, which are sometimes referred to as lice or mites.
